I was born in Northern Germany. Today, I live between Santa Barbara, California, and Germany.
I have always felt a strong connection to the water, and this closeness and the reflections of the ocean continue to shape both my life and my art.
Color comes from light, light from the sun!
Colors affect our mood, our perception, even our behavior.
I found my passion in painting inspired by the beautiful coastal nature, people and life in California.
My work as Karin Scheiba is inspired by the ocean, light, and the calm beauty of coastal living.
I try to create a new colourful perspective.
It makes me happy, calm and it affects my deep feelings.
